Thirty year old Department of Public Safety Trooper Eduardo Chavez was killed in a traffic accident. He was responding to a call to assist another Trooper holding two narcotics suspects at gunpoint, that other Trooper was his brother. Trooper Chavez is survived by his wife, Illiana, who is expecting their first child in July 2006.
