Officer David Huerta was flagged down by Terry Lynn Brandt, who told the Officer that her husband, Roland, was back at her apartment. While attempting to resolve the family disturbance, Officer Huerta was shot and killed by the husband with a shotgun. The suspect then killed his wife and later, when surrounded by the police, committed suicide.
