Officer Frank L. Kellogg was leading a suspect back to a patrol
car on October 15, 1955 when a scuffle ensued. During the scuffle,
the suspect was able to obtain Officer Kelloggs weapon and
shoot him once in the chest. Officer Kellogg was rushed to St. Joseph's
Hospital were it was determined that the bullet had entered his
chest and traveled to his right arm. He died from his wounds on
November 30, 1955.
