Special Agent Steven
D. Willis of the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco and Firearms was killed
on February 28, 1993 during the attempted execution of a Federal
search warrant in Waco, Texas. The warrant was to be executed at
the Branch Davidian compound for illegal firearms and explosives.
Special Agent Willis was one of four agents slain on that day.
Special Agent Willis had been with ATF for three years and was assigned
to the Houston Field Division.
Before joining ATF, he worked for Defense Investigative Service
for three years. Willis graduated from Southwest Texas State University
in San Marcus, Texas with a B.S. in Criminal Justice.
